Building Surveys

Previously known as a full structural survey, a building survey is the most detailed property inspection available. It differs from a Home Report as it is more in-depth and involves a thorough look over the property's construction and condition.

It will highlight any issues and go into further detail in the below areas:

• Any major problems with the building
• The general condition of reasonably accessible internal and external parts of the building
• The roof structure
• Anything that could be expensive to fix in the future
• Any suspected problems like timber infestation or damp that might need specialist advice
• The overall impression of services like water supply and drainage - testing these services isn't included, though

A building survey will also look at boundaries, grounds, outbuildings and explain the consequences of any problems discovered during the inspection. We can also tailor a building survey for your needs. For example, we can advise you on any major conversion or renovation you might be planning.
